KARRINYUP / GWELUP Local Area Plan - City of Stirling

The development of a community hub, as discussed above at
Priority 3, would need to work with the improved transport options
to enhance the overall viability of both the transport system and the
hub. There would be less need to travel far outside the Local Area
to have needs met. Increasing the transport options and ease of
use (reliability, safety, frequency, and routes) would also allow
community members to make use of the night time restaurants and
entertainment opportunities through the option of public transport.
With enhanced support given to alternative means of transport
(walking and cycling) within the Local Area, the overall safety of
the area and sense of community will inevitably increase as people
are no longer isolated in their cars but out on the streets.
