which are used for college students in an international situation.
We selected models for two languages and let them show each sign to a digital video
camera.
Video taped pictures of signs were saved using the MPEG-1 format.
Each Japanese sign was labeled in Japanese, and American sign was labeled in English.

We make a list of words in English alphabetical order and List of words in Japanese
order. Each Japanese word was matched to the equivalent English word.

The the program is written with HTML and Javascript.
The user can use the system not only by directly inserting it into the computer, but also
by storing all the data in the Web server and the file server.
No optional software is needed other than window's media player.
The customer can modify the materials based on their needs and preference.
A memory game is added to the dictionary to amuse the learners and to reinforce their
memory of the words.

At present, we are in the process of preparatory study. We had chance to show some
samples of our product to several deaf people from the United States, the Philippines
and Japan. They enjoyed using the dictionary and playing the games. They were much
interested in the project to be completed. This project is expected to be very useful for
international exchanging activity of the deaf people in the world.
I hope by the end of next March, we will have a better work and distribute our work to
the deaf persons to be used in the international settings.
I would be glad if I get any advises to our incomplete project.
