SD Section Operations<br />

You can switch and compose SD video in the SD section.<br />

Switching in the SD Section<br />

You can switch the SD video input using the V-440HD’s video fader<br />

(SD) along with the C-BUS channel buttons (SD) and B-BUS channel<br />

buttons (SD).<br />

Switching Buses with the AUTO Button (SD)<br />

The A-BUS and B-BUS switch automatically when the AUTO Button<br />

(SD) is pressed. The time used for switching between the A-BUS and<br />

C-BUS is set by rotating the TIME knob (SD). The time set with the<br />

TIME knob (SD) is indicated in the TRANSITION TIME display<br />

(SD). The time can be set to any value from 0 to 120 frames.<br />

Switching Buses with the Video Fader (SD)<br />

Selecting the Effect Applied When Switching Buses (SD)<br />

The effect applied when switching the video is selected by pressing<br />

the TRANSITION buttons (SD).<br />

When the video fader (SD) is tilted towards the A-BUS, the video on<br />

the A-BUS is output. Similarly, when the video fader (SD) is tilted<br />

towards the B-BUS, the video on the B-BUS is output.<br />

* For instructions on selecting the video on the A-BUS and B-BUS,<br />

refer to Selecting the Bus Input (p. 35).<br />

To confirm (preview) the video in the bus opposite that to<br />

which the video fader (SD) is tilted, connect a television monitor<br />

to the "SD PREVIEW OUT connector" (p. 19).<br />

* In addition to the preview video, you can also output from the SD<br />

PREVIEW OUT connector the same video that is output from SD<br />

PGM OUT. Set this from the menu by selecting "13. SD Preview Out<br />

Select" under "13. System."<br />
