Poor arc starting when the <strong>DC</strong><strong>600</strong><br />
is in the CV Sub-Arc or CV<br />
Innershield Modes.<br />
POSSIBLE AREAS OF<br />
MISADJUSTMENT(S)<br />
WELDING PROBLEMS<br />
1. Make sure the proper welding<br />
procedures are being used.<br />
(wire feed speed , arc voltage<br />
and wire size)<br />
2. Check weld cables for loose or<br />
faulty connections.<br />

COURSE OF ACTION<br />
If all recommended possible areas<br />
of misadjustment have been<br />
checked and the problem persists,<br />
Contact your local Authorized<br />
Field Service Facility.<br />
Machine has output but trips off<br />
immediately when wire feed unit<br />
trigger is activated<br />
1. Remove output cables from<br />
<strong>DC</strong>-<strong>600</strong>. If problem is resolved<br />
check for external short<br />
between weldiong cables. Also<br />
check control cable (#75, #76,<br />
& #77) for grounds or shorts.<br />

If for any reason you do not understand the test procedures or are unable to perform the tests/repairs safely, contact your<br />
Local Authorized Field Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.<br />
