Post study
work visa
Previously called the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland
Scheme, the Post Study Work visa allows international
students to stay in the UK and work, following the
completion of their studies.
All graduates of HND courses at Edinburgh’s Telford
College will be eligible to apply for a Post Study Work
Visa. (Please note that an HNC does not entitle you to
be eligible.)
This special Tier 1 visa allows its holders the
entitlement to work anywhere in the UK without an
additional work permit for two years.
After two years, the holder must apply for Tier 4 to
continue their studies, to remain in the UK, or return to
their home country. Students can apply for other
immigration routes to stay in the UK. For more
