25 Click on the theta = 45° point on the plot.<br />

A square appears around the point, as shown below. The readout for the point including<br />

the frequency, value of theta and phi, and the gain appear in the status bar<br />

at the bottom of the far field viewer window.<br />

26 Press the left arrow key, ←, to move to the theta = 40° point on the plot, or<br />

alternately, click on that point.<br />

The probe box now appears at that point and the data is updated in the status bar.<br />

Note that if there is more than one data curve displayed, the up and down arrow<br />

keys, ↑ and ↓, would move the data probe between curves, while the left and right<br />

arrow keys, ← and →, move between data points on any given curve.<br />

Re-Normalizing the Plot<br />

By default, the far field viewer displays the power gain. The power gain is defined<br />

as the radiation intensity divided by the uniform radiation intensity that would exist<br />

if the total power supplied to the antenna were radiated isotropically [1] .<br />
