For this skills evaluation checklist, students will tie a figure-eight bend. The figure-eight bend is one of<br />
the knots in the figure-eight family.<br />
• Piece of rope (for example, 6-foot to 20-<br />
foot [1.8 m to 6 m] length of ½-inch [13<br />
mm] rope)<br />

1. Tie a figure eight know on one end of the rope.<br />
