Evaluation Checklist<br />
Objective :<br />
Connect hoseline to a sprinkler system FDC.<br />
1. Confirm order with officer to connect line.<br />
2. Extend hoselines to sprinkler connection.<br />
a. Male thread toward sprinkler connection<br />
b. Obtain double male appliances if required.<br />
c. Carry adjustable spanner wrench.<br />
<strong>Task</strong> Steps 1st 2nd<br />
3. Lay down hose fittings at sprinkler connection, gently folding back<br />
hose so that male threads do not hit pavement.<br />
4. Remove caps from fire department connection.<br />
a. Unscrew screw-in caps.<br />
b. Break breakaway caps.<br />
c. Strike center with end of wrench handle.<br />
5. Inspect the fire department connection for debris, check threads<br />
and check and replace gasket, if necessary.<br />
6. Connect hoselines to outlet with lowest fitting first.<br />
7. Tighten connections with spanner wrench.<br />
8. Report to officer completion of assigned task.<br />
