METOS DROP-IN COLLECTION<br />

The <strong>Metos</strong> drop-in collection gives a possibility to create fl exible <strong>and</strong> unique food<br />

serving solutions with reasonable costs. The idea of the collection is to build a<br />

unique food serving line by using st<strong>and</strong>ard technical units.<br />

The drop-in collection comprises all the units for building a food serving line. These<br />

drop-in units can be integrated into various kinds of decorative solutions. The collection<br />

includes units for serving cold <strong>and</strong> warm products, as well as soup. Units needed for<br />

dispensing plates, trays etc. are also available in the collection. With the drop-in units<br />

can we create custom made solution together with the customer.<br />

Customer can purchase the technical units from <strong>Metos</strong>, <strong>and</strong> design the outlook of the<br />

serving line separately. For this purpose <strong>Metos</strong> provides the necessary information for<br />

design <strong>and</strong> production of the serving line. This guarantees right performance <strong>and</strong> durability<br />

of the drop-in units. <strong>Metos</strong> can also supply the complete custom made drop-in<br />

serving line as a turnkey delivery.<br />

For serving cold food there are cold basins, frost planes <strong>and</strong> crushed ice basins. The insulated cold<br />

basins <strong>and</strong> frost planes are equipped with powerful cooling machinery. These units can be delivered<br />

also with connection to remote cooling system. Crushed ice basins are without cold machine. Due to<br />

the insulation of the basin, the ice does not melt totally during the normal food serving hours. All the<br />

models are available at the sizes of 1-4 GN 1/1. Depth of basin is 160 mm <strong>and</strong> frost plane 20 mm.<br />

For serving warm meals there are bain-maries, ceramic hot plates <strong>and</strong> integrated soup dispensers.<br />

Basins with depth of 160 mm <strong>and</strong> ceramic hot plates can be delivered at the sizes of 1-3 GN 1 / 1. If<br />

necessary, the bain-maries can be delivered with depth of 210 mm. Both bain-maries <strong>and</strong> ceramic hot<br />

plates can be delivered with either light or halotherm heating unit. With the ceramic hot plate it is always<br />

recommended to use a halotherm heating lamp that heats the food also from above. At the same time<br />

halotherm illuminates the food nicely. A heated soup bowl dispenser can be placed next to the soup<br />

dispenser. This guarantees that the soup bowls have the right temparature before use. Together these<br />

two units form a tempting soup station.<br />

For dispensing water there are drop-in dispensers that can be supplied with or without cooling machinery.<br />

Faucets can be either mechanic or electronic. An electronic faucet guarantees a hygienic operation<br />

because the customer does not need to touch the faucet either with h<strong>and</strong> or with glass.<br />

The drop-in collection has various supplementary equipment for the food serving lines. Plate dispensers<br />

are available for three different plate sizes. There are both neutral <strong>and</strong> heated models. Plate, rack <strong>and</strong><br />

tray dispensers are available for both 900 <strong>and</strong> 750 mm high serving lines. There are cutting-board <strong>and</strong><br />

crumb box combination for cutting bread in the serving line.<br />
