Bill Riley
USATF's Outstanding Age-Group
Athlete of the Year . . . Again!
One of Hammer Nutrition's longtime clients and a
lifetime friend of ours, Bill Riley, was selected by
USATF as Outstanding Athlete of the Year in his
age group (75-79) for 2012. It was the sixth year,
out of the past seven, that "the ageless one" has
received this award, which is based primarily on age
grading but also on the variety and significance of
the races. In typical fashion, being one of the most
humble athletes we've ever known, Bill commented,
"I did 21 races this year so I was bound to hit a
couple good ones." Fact is that most-to-all of Bill's
races ended up being age-graded above 88, with
his top-graded race being the New England 5K
Championships, in which his time of 20 minutes, 53
seconds earned him 92.01 points.
