After years of ultrarunning, I thought I would give another endurance activity a shot.<br />
Thanks to <strong>Hammer</strong> <strong>Nutrition</strong>, training and racing for my first Ironman (IM Canada) were great!<br />
During the race I used <strong>Hammer</strong> Gel, Endurolytes, and a double concentration bottle of HEED,<br />
plus <strong>Hammer</strong> Bars on the bike. Of course I got my Recoverite in as soon as I could after the<br />
finish. I felt like a million bucks and had no GI issues. As always, <strong>Hammer</strong> helped get me<br />
where I needed to be to finish strong. Who knows . . . what's next?!<br />

I placed 3rd at the USA Cycling Master's State<br />
Championships. When off-season got here,<br />

to see how I would feel after a full cycle. I have<br />
added endurance running to my off-season<br />
schedule in addition to my cyclocross racing and<br />

I feel healthy and strong. My body is responding<br />
to the specific stresses of my training program as<br />

Erik, Karla, and I raced in the Futenma Habu 5K race in Japan.<br />
It was a super hilly course, but we had a blast. I'm very<br />
proud of Karla as she took 2nd in her age group. Erik was<br />
1st overall and I was 2nd overall. Thanks for the tremendous<br />
support!<br />
