Rescue Curriculum<br />
3302 CONFINED SPACE REFRESHER<br />
This course reviews the hazards and rescue techniques associated with confined spaces. Practical hands-on<br />
rescue evolutions in confined space props will be used to enhance the rescuer’s skills.<br />

Resident Fee: $25 in-state, $128 out-of-state<br />
Regional Fee: $25<br />
($50 if use of the Confined Space Rescue maze trailer is required off site)<br />
3310 ROPE RESCUE LOW ANGLE OPERATIONS<br />
This course is designed based on the 3rd Edition of High Rescue Techniques. It will focus mainly on the low<br />
angle operations skills addressed in NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical<br />
Rescue Incidents and the rope requirements of NFPA 1006. This course is part one of the Operations Level<br />
requirement laid out in NFPA 1670. Topics include; knots, PPE, rope and related equipment, low angle repelling<br />
and ascending, belaying, anchoring, patient packaging, raise-lower systems, rescue planning and IMS for the<br />
low angle environment. This course is a prerequisite for the Rope Rescue High Angle course, Trench Rescue,<br />
Confined Space Rescue, Water Rescue Operations and other US&R Technical Rescue programs.<br />
Note: PPE required: helmet, safety glasses, leather gloves and foot wear with steel toe.<br />

Fee: $25 in-state, Training-in-House $5, $192 non-municipal, $256 out-of-state, military, on-site meals and<br />
lodging extra.<br />

3312 TRENCH RESCUE I<br />
This course is designed to enable the first responder to identify actions to take on the scene of a trench collapse.<br />
Topics include: OSHA standard 29 CFR 1926, hazards associated with trench collapse, operational<br />
plans for trench rescue, and shoring techniques for trench collapse.<br />
Prerequisite: 3310<br />
Hours: 24<br />
Students: Min: 20 Max: 30<br />
Resident fee: $100 on-site; $300 non-municipal; $384 out-of-state, military, $155 off site<br />
municipal. Meals and dorms extra.<br />
Grant fee: $7,200<br />
Regional Delivery: Contact regional office for fees. Must have an approved facility.<br />
