2751 EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO TERRORISM: BASIC CONCEPTS<br />
This Office of Domestic Preparedness course prepares first responders for terrorist-related incidents, primarily<br />
at the operations level. The course focuses on life safety and self-preservation, and topics include understanding<br />
and recognizing terrorism, detecting various hazards, self protection measures, scene control, tactical considerations<br />
and an overview of terrorism incident management.<br />
Prerequisite: None, but Hazardous Materials Operations training is recommended.<br />

2755 NBC TERRORISM TECHNICIAN<br />
This course provides the hazardous materials technician with the necessary skills to operate safely at an NBC<br />
terrorism event. Topics will include: detection equipment, evidence collection, overpacking for crime<br />
scenes, victim rescue and decontamination. The student will receive hands-on experience with some of the latest<br />
NBC detection equipment, such as the Chemical Agent Monitor, M-256A1 chemical detection kit, M-8/M-9<br />
paper, Bio-Detection tickets, S.M.A.R.T-2 and other well-known detection equipment.<br />

2757 EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO TERRORISM: COMPANY OFFICER TACTICAL CONSIDER-<br />
ATIONS<br />
This NFA course is designed to build upon the existing knowledge and skills of the first-responding supervisor<br />
from the Emergency Response to Terrorism-Basic Concepts Course, Self Study Guide. Students will be trained<br />
in security considerations, identifying signs of terrorism, anticipating unusual response circumstances, assessing<br />
information and initiating self protection actions.<br />

Hours: 16<br />
Students: Min: 10 Max: 30<br />
Fee: $25 (free if covered under command grant)<br />
