4.3.1.7 - Glaucoma associated with retinal detachment<br />

a) Topical <strong>and</strong> systemic IOP lowering medication as needed<br />

b) Surgery <strong>for</strong> retinal detachment, vitrectomy, cryosurgery, filtration surgery<br />

4.3.1.8 - Open-angle <strong>glaucoma</strong> due to ocular trauma<br />

a) Anti-inflammatory treatment<br />

b) Topical <strong>and</strong> systemic IOP lowering medication as needed<br />

c) Long-term follow up with measurement of intraocular pressure since rise in intraocular pressure after trauma<br />

may be delayed <strong>for</strong> years<br />

d) Filtering procedure<br />

4.3.2 - IATROGENIC SECONDARY OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMAS<br />

4.3.2.1 - Glaucoma due to corticosteroid treatment<br />

a) Discontinue corticosteroid medication<br />

b) Topical <strong>and</strong> systemic IOP lowering medication as needed<br />

c) Filtration surgery<br />

4.3.2.2 - Secondary open-angle <strong>glaucoma</strong> due to ocular surgery <strong>and</strong> laser<br />

a) Topical <strong>and</strong> systemic IOP lowering medication as needed<br />

b) Anti-inflammatory treatment<br />

c) Removal silicone oil or the intraocular lens<br />

4.3.3 - SECONDARY OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMA CAUSED BY EXTRABULBAR DISEASE<br />

4.3.3.1 - Glaucoma caused by increased episcleral venous pressure<br />

a) Treatment of the underlying disease<br />

b) Topical <strong>and</strong> systemic IOP lowering medication<br />

c) Surgery according to the specific condition<br />
