b) Ground signs may be considered on a case-bycase<br />

basis in the C-2 District, generally for larger or<br />

multi-business projects facing <strong>Los</strong> <strong>Gatos</strong>/Saratoga Road,<br />

or projects south <strong>of</strong> Main Street with frontage on Santa<br />

Cruz Avenue.<br />

6.8.2 Limit the information on each sign<br />

a) Ground signs should generally be limited to the<br />

following information:<br />

• Project or primary business identification name<br />

and/or logo<br />

• Address number (strongly encouraged)<br />

b) Multi-tenant ground signs are strongly discouraged.<br />

However, the display <strong>of</strong> up to three tenants may be<br />

considered for small ground signs so long as the sign<br />

and background color is common throughout, and<br />

the type style and logo colors <strong>of</strong> each tenant are the<br />

same.<br />

c) The inclusion <strong>of</strong> services and products <strong>of</strong>fered<br />

should not be included on ground signs.<br />

address local conditions and design standards<br />

6.8.3 Locate signs for easy visibility from passing<br />

vehicles<br />

a) Locate signs within 10 feet <strong>of</strong> the front property<br />

line.<br />

b) Avoid blocking any vehicular or pedestrian sight<br />

lines which might result in safety problems.<br />
