Md. Nazmul Hoque<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. Md. Nazmul Hoque completed his M.S.S in<br />
Economics in 2005 from Dhaka University. He<br />
joined <strong>BIDS</strong> as Research Associate in 2007. His<br />
areas of research interest include macroeconomic<br />
policy issues, open economy macroeconomics,<br />
international economics, information economics<br />
and economics of nonrenewable resources.<br />
Mohammad Golam Nabi Mozumder<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. Mohammad Golam Nabi Mozumder completed<br />
B.S.S. (Honours) and M.S.S. in Sociology from the<br />
University of Dhaka in 2002 and 2003 respectively.<br />
He joined <strong>BIDS</strong> in 2007 as a Research Associate.<br />
His major areas of research interests include sociocultural<br />
change and adaptation, religious militancy<br />
and social inequality.<br />
Md. Zabid Iqbal<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. Md. Zabid Iqbal obtained his M.S.S in Economics<br />
in 2007 from the University of Dhaka and joined<br />
<strong>BIDS</strong> as a Research Associate in 2008. His areas of<br />
interest include macroeconomic policy issues,<br />
open economy macroeconomics, international<br />
trade, labor economics, development economics,<br />
theoretical and applied econometrics and various<br />
microeconomic issues.<br />
A T M Shaifullah Mehedi<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. A T M Shaifullah Mehedi obtained M.S.S and B.S.S<br />
in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University and<br />
joined <strong>BIDS</strong> in 2008. Apart from environmental<br />
adaptation, his research interests include migration,<br />
poverty, governance and gender issues as well as<br />
nutrition and child mortality in Bangladesh. He is<br />
currently working as a Research Associate.<br />
Mansur Ahmed<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. Mansur Ahmed completed his graduation in<br />
Economics from the University of Dhaka in 2007.<br />
He joined <strong>BIDS</strong> as a Research Associate in 2008. His<br />
areas of research interest include macroeconomics,<br />
international economics, development economics,<br />
econometrics and applied economics research.<br />
Mohammad Iqbal Hossain<br />
Research Associate<br />
Mr. Mohammad Iqbal Hossain completed his<br />
B.Sc. and M. Sc. in Economics in <strong>2009</strong> from<br />
Jahangirnagar University. His areas of interest<br />
include macroeconomic policy, international trade,<br />
public finance and econometrics. He joined <strong>BIDS</strong> as<br />
a Research Associate in <strong>2010</strong>.<br />
Mitali Parvin<br />
Research Associate<br />
Ms. Mitali Parvin completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in<br />
Environmental Science from Khulna University<br />
in 2005 and 2008 respectively. She joined <strong>BIDS</strong><br />
as a Research Associate in <strong>2010</strong>. Her current<br />
areas of interest include ecologically sustainable<br />
development and sustainable economy,<br />
ecotourism, eco-village development, renewable<br />
energy technologies, global environmental<br />
issues for global sustainability: food production,<br />
green house gas production, climate change and<br />
adaptation and renewable transition.<br />
Badrun Nessa Ahmed<br />
Research Associate<br />
Ms. Badrun Nessa Ahmed obtained her M.S.S in<br />
Economics in 2008 from the University of Dhaka.<br />
She joined <strong>BIDS</strong> as a Research Associate in <strong>2010</strong>.<br />
Her areas of interest include macroeconomic<br />
policy issues, health and population economics,<br />
development economics, theoretical and applied<br />
econometrics and international trade especially<br />
trade policies and regional co-operation.<br />
