Managing Director Hans de Weers has established an
impressive track record as (co-)producer; highlights include
Academy Award Winner ANTONIA’S LINE (Antonia) and
Crystal Bear Winner BLUEBIRD. International co-productions
include ALEXANDER (Oliver Stone) and MON ANGE (coproduced
with AMÉLIE producer Claudie Ossard). THE
LETTER FOR THE KING was known as the most expensive
Dutch language family film. Premiering at the NFF '09 is the last
part of Frans Weisz’ trilogy HAPPY END. Currently in
production are two adaptations of two succesful books KOMT
EEN VROUW BIJ DE DOKTER and THE HAPPY HOUSEWIFE.

Film and Music Entertainment is one of the UK’s most

Mike Downey and Sam Taylor in January 2000 with the aim
of financing and producing feature films. Stephen Daldry
(two-times Oscar-nominated, director of BILLY ELLIOTT
and THE READER acts as Chairman of the board and as
executive producer. With over 30 films under our belt,
including a winner of the Golden Lion in Venice, an Academy
Award Nominee and multiple official entries in the Sundance,
Berlin, Montreal, Toronto, San Sebastian and Locarno film
festivals, the F&ME brand has become synonymous with the
production of quality feature films.
