The Rotterdam based seriousFilm production company is
founded in 2004 by producers Marc Thelosen, Yan Ting
Yuen and Koert Davidse. Yuen and Davidse are both
award winning producer/directors. Coming from a strong
storytelling documentary background, we have produced
many documentaries that were succesfull in international
film festivals. Since 2006 we are expanding our activities
to fiction production and our first short fiction film ON
PHENOMENA & EXISTENCES NO.3 received a Tiger
nomination at the IFFR 2006.

SNG Film/Studio Nieuwe Gronden was founded in 1979
by René Scholten, and focused on producing feature films
and documentary projects with a personal and
idiosyncratic element. Digna Sinke, producer and
director, has taken over in 2001. The aim remains the
same: to produce interesting films with cinematographic
quality.
