AVRO is a Dutch broadcasting organisation with nearly
90 years of experience in the media. AVRO offers its
viewers a full range of programming from current affairs
to drama along five lines of interest; arts & culture,
health, classical music, public security and animal
welfare. AVRO broadcasts on the three Dutch channels
and is responsible for roughly one third of all the
programming transmitted. Our organisation has more
than 450.000 members and publishes two tv-guides
‘AVRO-bode’ and ‘Televizier’. Despite the competition of
commercial television networks, the three channels have
managed to maintain a large segment of the Dutch
television market through creativity and innovation.
