Pupkin Film is a production company owned by Pieter
Kuijpers, Sander van Meurs and Iris Otten, founded in
2003 and based in Amsterdam. Pupkin Film is known for
it’s unprecedented, fresh and plausible films with a strong
emotional impact. The company is named after Rupert
Pupkin, the main character in the feature film THE KING
OF COMEDY (Martin Scorsese, 1983), played by Robert
de Niro. His motto 'Better to be king for a night than
schmuck for a lifetime', is our motto as well.
