Adult Fitness Continued 11<br />

Open to Adults & Seniors<br />

This functional exercise class will help you improve your balance and strengthen the abdominal and back muscles.<br />

Exercises to increase leg strength, endurance and flexibility will be performed seated, standing and in prone position<br />

using your body weight. Please bring hand weights and a mat. This is a great class for strengthening as you age.<br />

Gentle Yoga<br />

Open to Adults & Seniors<br />

A slow paced beginning Vinyasa Yoga class that will increase muscle flexibility, joint ROM, build stronger<br />

bones and promote overall wellness. Yogic breathing will be taught. Alignment, form and modifications will<br />

be emphasized and offered to ensure progress and safety. A great way to explore, build a yoga practice<br />

for at home, restart your fitness plan, and get into a fitness routine. Please come with an open mind to this<br />

mind-body-spirit yoga practice.<br />

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring: yoga mat, 1 yoga block, 1 yoga strap as supportive yoga props.<br />

The Rec Dept does not supply these items. It is recommended that yoga students bring a water bottle to<br />

keep hydrated. Please do not eat a heavy meal 90 minutes prior to attending class.<br />
