ROAMER THE ROBOT<br />

Come explore LOGO programming with Roamer the Robot and his friends. LOGO programming is a simple,<br />

sequence language that students of all ages find to be fabulous fun yet still challenging. Roamer, Bee Bot,<br />

Speedy the Race Car, RoboRaptor and many more will teach estimation, addition, subtraction, fractions,<br />

angles and some really exciting surprises along the way. Wait until you meet their mystery friend – he is a<br />

class favorite and is sure to delight all! Each class is design to teach a new concept/skill with the ability to<br />

work with several robots. The Robots will share favorite stories, complete obstacle courses, go on scavenger<br />

hunts and even go bowling!<br />

Ages: 3 – 6 years old<br />

Location: Range Line <strong>School</strong> – Room 108<br />

Dates: Monday – Thursday, July 14 - 17<br />

Time: 9:00am – 9:45am<br />

Students will interact with hands-on scientific projects that will be combined with the Digital Blue QX3 and QX5<br />

Microscope allowing them to see the magnified images on the monitor. This software allows them to save their<br />

images and create a slideshow of their choice. We will discover and explore endless investigations including:<br />

fingerprints, money, live (unharmed) insects, sink & float projects, mystery items, magnetic exploration including a<br />

scavenger hunt using metal detectors and many more experiments that will amuse and amaze your entire family!<br />
