AQUATICS
CHILDREN’S SWIM CLASSES
Classes meet Monday through Friday. Each daily lesson consists of the listed pool time and 10 minutes for dressing.
Swimmers provide their own suit and towel. Parents may only stay inside of the fence on the first and last day of
class. (Exceptions are made for Infant-Toddler and Preschool Classes). Please put your child in the appropriate
level following the stated guidelines. THERE WILL BE NO MAKEUPS OR REFUNDS DUE TO INCLEMENT
WEATHER.
BELOW ARE THE ENTRY LEVEL SKILLS FOR EACH OF THE SWIMMING LEVELS.

Complete the M-T Registration Form and submit to the M-T Recreation Office at least one
week prior to the start of class.
INFANT/TODDLER - Six months to three years old. All participants must be accompanied & assisted by an adult.

Level 1 - No swimming or water competencies required to take this course. The student should be 5 years of age
by the date of the first class.

Level 2 - To enter Level 2 a student must have passed Level 1 – which means they must be able to submerge
completely for 3 seconds, blow bubbles through mouth and nose, and be comfortable when they do front and back
float with help, and swim on front and back with help.
