Nov. 10 - The strongholds of Al-Shabaab in southern parts of Mogadishu in <strong>Somalia</strong> have been<br />
bombed overnight by the African Union troops killing five civilians and eight more wounded,<br />
witnesses told Suntimes on Thursday.<br />
The shelling hit partly of the districts of Wardhigley, Howlwadag, Hodan, Karan and Yaqshid<br />
where the insurgent rebel groups have heavy presence to face against the government backed<br />
by the African Union peacekeepers.<br />

Oct. 31 - At least three people have been killed and four others wounded in a sporadic fighting<br />
with heavy shelling between the troops of the transitional government of <strong>Somalia</strong> and Al-shabab<br />
fighters in Mogadishu overnight, witnesses said on Sunday.<br />
Locals said that the clash was between Al-shabab fighters and the AMISOM troops mainly the<br />
Burundian forces based at Jalle Siad building in the northwest of the capital Mogadishu adding<br />
that the fighting started as Al-shabab fighters attacked the military base of Burundian troops in the<br />
area.<br />

Oct. 30 - At least 7 people were killed, including African Union Peacekeepers and civilians, in a<br />
roadside bomb attack targeting an AMISOM convoy in Mogadishu. The bomb exploded as an<br />
AMISOM convoy was traveling on Warshadaha Street in the Somali capital.<br />
One of the AU trucks was completely destroyed in the blast, that also left three people wounded.<br />
After the explosion, a short confrontation erupted between African Union forces al Shabaab<br />
militants, killing three civilians and injuring 4 others.<br />

Oct. 28 - At least 10 people were killed and more than 25 others wounded after pro-government<br />
forces fired mortars in two days fighting in Somali capital Mogadishu, Radio Garowe reports.<br />
Most of those killed and wounded were civilians after AMISOM troops fired several mortars to<br />
Hodan, H/wadag, Yaaqshiid, Wardhiigley, and Boondheere, northern part of <strong>Somalia</strong>.<br />
―The recent night, many mortars landed Mogadishu regions, killed 10 people and injured dozen<br />
others,‖ said one of government official in Daynile Hospital. Currently, no comment from the top<br />
government official‘s side over the indiscriminate attacks that killed mostly women and children.<br />
