August 23: The Transitional federal government of <strong>Somalia</strong>, have accused Al Shabaab militants<br />
of killing civilians in Mogadishu shelling, on Monday.<br />
More than 15 people died and at least 80 injured in mortar attacks fired by Al-Shabaab towards<br />
civilian-populated areas, says statement released by the Ministry of Information.<br />
One of their mortars hit a camp for internally displaced people in Mogadishu.<br />
The government accused Al-Shabaab spokesperson for publicly declaring war against the Somali<br />
people and government on Monday.<br />
This shows their lack of regards for the holy month of Ramadan. It is against Islamic religion and<br />
Somali culture to fight against another Somali, says the press release by the Ministry of<br />
Information.<br />
The Somali Government condemns the attacks and loss of civilians.<br />

August 19: At least two people have been killed 4 others wounded after heavy shelling targeted<br />
to a displaced camps in parts of the Somali capital Mogadishu, witnesses said on Thursday.<br />

Witnesses said that several mortars had landed at the displaced camps in Hoga hospital in<br />
Hodan district around 5:00 pm, killing two of the civilians, injuring several others adding that it<br />
was unclear where the shellfire from.<br />
A teenager died and three others wounded around the universities in the capital when a stray<br />
mortar landed as the teenagers were playing football there in Mogadishu.<br />
The emergency traffic officials said they took 7 civilians to hospitals in the capital as the mortars<br />
continued in different areas in Mogadishu.<br />
It is unclear the main reason of the mortars and it comes as there had no been any clashes<br />
continued in war zones of Mogadishu today.<br />
8 of the displaced civilians around Digfer hospital had been killed while more than 20 others<br />
wounded as mortars targeted to camps where those civilians were homing before 2 nights.<br />
