SEASON HIGHLIGHTS<br />
• <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> set then-team records for most points (108) and points percentage<br />
(.659), road wins (27), most road points (58), fewest shots allowed (1,981), fewest<br />
power play goals allowed (44) and fewest regulation losses (23) in a single<br />
season.<br />
• <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> also set team standards for longest overall winning streak (11 games,<br />
Feb. 21, 2008 at Philadelphia through March 14, 2008 vs. St. Louis), longest road<br />
winning streak (10 games, Nov. 14, 2007 at Dallas through Dec. 31, 2007 at<br />
Minnesota), most consecutive overall games recording a point (20, Feb. 21, 2008<br />
at Philadelphia through April 1, 2008 vs. Los Angeles) and most consecutive road<br />
games recording a point (14, Oct. 29, 2007 at Dallas through Jan. 13, 2008 at<br />
Anaheim).<br />
• G Evgeni Nabokov finished second in the Vezina Trophy voting after achieving<br />
team regular season goaltending records in wins (50), appearances (77), minutes<br />
(4,561), most consecutive starts (50) and most consecutive wins (10). Nabokov<br />
also played in his second <strong>NHL</strong> All-Star Game and became the first goaltender<br />
since 2002 to stop all of the shots he faced (eight in the second).<br />
• Coach Ron Wilson led <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> to their third Pacific Division Championship,<br />
second in his tenure. He became the 11th coach to win 500 <strong>NHL</strong> games on Feb.<br />
9, 2008 vs. Nashville. Wilson also won his 200th game as <strong>Sharks</strong> head coach on<br />
March 18, 2008 at Los Angeles, surpassing Darryl Sutter to set the record for<br />
most wins (206).<br />
MAJOR TRANSACTIONS<br />
• Relieved Ron Wilson of head coaching duties on May 12, 2008.<br />
• Acquired D Brian Campbell along with a seventh round selection in the 2008<br />
<strong>NHL</strong> Entry Draft from Buffalo in exchange for RW Steve Bernier and a first round<br />
selection in the 2008 <strong>NHL</strong> Entry Draft on Feb. 26, 2008.<br />
