GENERAL<br />

<strong>San</strong> Diego Sockers. Hahn also announced the 1990 World Cup, the 1991 Women’s World Cup and has called<br />

the action for USA National Team soccer games on SportsChannel and for Major League Soccer’s Kansas City<br />

Wizards.<br />

From 1991-94, Hahn was a studio anchor for SportsChannel Chicago’s nightly highlight show and worked<br />

on broadcasts for collegiate basketball, baseball, volleyball and gymnastics. Hahn has been a play-by-play<br />

broadcaster for Arena Football League games on FSN.<br />

In 1990, Hahn lived in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> and was instrumental in helping bring the National Hockey League to this<br />

area, serving as vice president of Pro Hockey <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> — a grassroots, non-profit corporation formed for the<br />

purpose of attracting an <strong>NHL</strong> franchise to the new multi-purpose venue being built in downtown <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong>.<br />

Hahn is actively involved in charity work in the Bay Area, especially with The Role Model Program in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong>,<br />

The <strong>San</strong> Francisco Bay Area Council Boy Scouts and the Providing Autism Research (PAR for Kids) Foundation.<br />

Hahn’s wife, Roberta Gonzales, CBS-5’s evening news weathercaster, is an Emmy Award winner herself and<br />

was recently awarded the Associated Press Television-Radio Award for “Best Weather Segment” for the fourth<br />

consecutive year. She’s a former weathercaster at KNTV in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> and was honored as 1990 Woman of the<br />

Year in the field of <strong>com</strong>munications by the <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> Mercury News for her contributions to the South Bay.<br />

Drew Remenda<br />

Television Color Analyst<br />

Drew Remenda returns for his ninth season as the team’s television color analyst,<br />

joining Television Play-by-Play Broadcaster and co-Emmy winner Randy Hahn for<br />

<strong>Sharks</strong> telecasts on Comcast SportsNet California.<br />

Remenda also serves as the host of “Shark Byte,” Comcast SportsNet California’s<br />

popular magazine-style show dedicated to <strong>Sharks</strong> hockey on- and off-the-ice.<br />

Remenda returned the <strong>Sharks</strong> family in 2007 after spending the 2006-07<br />

campaign as an analyst for the Canadian Broadcast Company’s (CBC) celebrated<br />

“Hockey Night in Canada” program, which followed six seasons as the <strong>Sharks</strong><br />

television color analyst, where he won three Bay Area Emmy Awards (1999, 2001 and 2006). Previously,<br />

Remenda spent three seasons working with Dan Rusanowsky as radio color <strong>com</strong>mentator on 98.5 KFOX and the<br />

<strong>Sharks</strong> Radio Network.<br />

Drawing upon his extensive network of hockey contacts and his background as an assistant coach, Remenda<br />

skillfully provides in-game analysis, insightful information and anecdotes.<br />

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native also serves as the host of “The Drew Remenda Sports Show,” a staple<br />

on 650 CKOM Radio in Saskatoon and on 980 CJME in Regina.<br />

Remenda and his broadcast partner Randy Hahn are featured as the primary play-by-play and color voices<br />

on the recently released hockey video game, “<strong>NHL</strong> 2K10.”<br />

A <strong>Sharks</strong> assistant coach from 1991-95, Remenda also served as associate coach for the Kansas City Blades<br />

of the International Hockey League, then the <strong>Sharks</strong> top developmental affiliate, in 1995-96. Before joining the<br />

<strong>Sharks</strong> organization, he served as the video coordinator for Hockey Canada, where he provided support for<br />

Canada’s National Team and the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association. Remenda’s vast hockey background also<br />

includes a stint as assistant coach at the University of Calgary from 1988-90 and coaching at the amateur level<br />

since 1983.<br />

Dan Rusanowsky<br />

Radio Play-By-Play Broadcaster<br />

Veteran Radio Play-by-Play Announcer Dan Rusanowsky returns for his 19th<br />

consecutive season as the “Voice of the <strong>Sharks</strong>” on 98.5 KFOX (KUFX-FM) and the<br />

<strong>Sharks</strong> Radio Network.<br />

A 30-year veteran of hockey broadcasting at all levels, Rusanowsky is one of<br />

the club’s most recognizable figures, both on- and off-the-ice. He’s responsible for<br />

producing all radio broadcasts, directs and administers the multi-station <strong>Sharks</strong><br />

Radio Network (which provides coverage of all games for hockey fans in Northern<br />

California and parts of Nevada and Oregon) and oversees the relationship with<br />

flagship station 98.5 KFOX. A versatile performer, he also contributes to <strong>Sharks</strong> Magazine, the team’s official<br />

game program, and sjsharks.<strong>com</strong> with regularly featured columns and broadcast reports.<br />

An active, year-round member of the Bay Area broadcasting <strong>com</strong>munity, Rusanowsky is one of a select<br />

few play-by-play announcers who have been tapped by <strong>NHL</strong> Radio to announce the “Game of the Week” on<br />

Westwood One Radio Network. He was on the broadcast team for <strong>NHL</strong> Radio’s production of the 1997 <strong>NHL</strong> All-<br />

Star Game in <strong>San</strong> <strong>Jose</strong> and has presented feature work on the League’s network broadcasts.<br />

Rusanowsky has provided the play-by-play call on several Major League Soccer radio broadcasts and<br />
