Recommendation No. 2 – Citizen Survey
That the report from the Interim Chief Administrative Officer dated July 5, 2012
regarding 2012 Citizen Survey be received.
Recommendation No. 3 – Citizen Survey
That Council direct staff to research a service provider to conduct the Citizen Survey,
including proposed survey format, and forward their recommendations to Council.
Recommendation No. 4 – Proposed New Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw
That the report from the Interim Chief Administrative Officer dated July 4, 2012
regarding Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw No. 486, 2009 be received.
Recommendation No. 8 – Proposed New Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw
That the Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw No. 486, 2009, (2) (a) be amended by
removing the phrase ‘for the period of two calendar years from the date of the adoption
of this bylaw’ and replacing it with ‘until January 1, 2014’ and
That the Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw No. 486, 2009, 3 (1) (a) 4 be amended by
removing ‘demonstration waste’ and replacing it with ‘demolition waste’.
That the Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw No. 486, 2009 be adopted as amended.
Recommendation No. 9 – Proposed New Open Air Burning Regulatory Bylaw
That following adoption of Bylaw No. 486, 2009 that a communication plan be
developed to educate the public on best practices for open air burning and inform the
general public of the respective changes to open air burning for the District of Sechelt.
