• August 14, 2006, Wharton City Council unanimously approved<br />
Resolution No. 2006-54 approving the U.S. <strong>Army</strong> Corp <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Engineers</strong> Lower Colorado River Phase I Report - City <strong>of</strong><br />
Wharton Flood Prevention Project and Recommended Plan.<br />
• City <strong>of</strong> Wharton is prepared to fund its portion <strong>of</strong> the project.<br />
• City <strong>of</strong> Wharton goal to remove entire City from the Special<br />
Flood Hazard Area (SFHA).<br />
