Competition<br />
The MyPhone brand celphones distributed by MySolid Technologies and Devices Corporation<br />
competed with o<strong>the</strong>r brands in <strong>the</strong> Philippine market mainly Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson,<br />
Motorola, Cherry Mobile, Torque and o<strong>the</strong>r grey market phones.<br />
The broadcast/professional equipment and accessories that <strong>the</strong> Company sells competes with<br />
o<strong>the</strong>r brands like Panasonic, JVC and Sharp.<br />
The prefabricated modular houses that <strong>the</strong> Company markets are standardized in design, modular<br />
assembled, easy to assemble and disassemble and relocate and can also be stored easily. Its main<br />
products are designed and manufactured using light steel frames and sandwich wall panels that<br />
covers a wide range of applications such as temporary offices, dormitories for construction sites,<br />
municipal offices, residential settlements, school classrooms shops, temporary housing for<br />
disaster relief and military camps, temporary buildings for exhibitions. It competes with Indigo<br />
and Smarthouse.<br />
The Company provides warehousing, and logistics services mostly to electronics companies. It<br />
competes with Fast Cargo, Yusen and Agility Logistics among o<strong>the</strong>rs.<br />
The broadband cable services that <strong>the</strong> Company offers through <strong>the</strong> Destiny hybrid fiber coaxial<br />
cable infrastructure competes with cable companies, Sky Cable and Cablelink in Metro Manila,<br />
and to some extent with o<strong>the</strong>r market players in <strong>the</strong> telecommunication industry such as PLDT,<br />
Bayantel, Globe and Eastern. The cable television service of Global Destiny Inc. operates<br />
throughout Metro Manila via <strong>the</strong> Company’s broadband cable network infrastructure. It provides<br />
value programming for various markets at competitive monthly service fee rates versus major<br />
competitors Sky Cable and Cablelink. The MyDestiny Internet service is providing Internet users<br />
a higher service level through its broadband technology versus <strong>the</strong> prevailing dial-up system of<br />
<strong>the</strong> some of ISP’s operating in Metro Manila. On May 11, 2012, , SBC sold its wired and<br />
satellite assets and broadband/internet subscriber base. (See Agreements)<br />
Raw Materials, Parts and Components<br />
The Company through its subsidiaries procures raw materials for manufacture of its products and<br />
finished products from a number of sources in <strong>the</strong> Philippines and foreign suppliers. It has an<br />
existing contract through its subsidiary SolidGroup Technologies Corporation, with a foreign<br />
supplier, for <strong>the</strong> supply of prefabricated modular houses (See Agreements).<br />
Broadband Facilities<br />
The Company operates broadband cable infrastructure assets in Metro Manila from its headend<br />
located in Makati City, providing data transport and multimedia services. The broadband cable<br />
network is a complex data capable infrastructure using HFC (hybrid fiber and co-axial cables)<br />
that covers most of Metro Manila. Planned and built as one integrated and contiguous system,<br />
<strong>the</strong> network’s fiber backbone inter-connects 5 hubs in key locations. The various video and data<br />
services riding on this network are delivered to customers in <strong>the</strong> <strong>17</strong> cities and municipalities that
