And we pay this tribute to his memory today rejoicing in the
promise of the Lord. "I go to prepare a place for you. And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I. will come again and receive you
unto myself that where I am there ye may be also."
His hearty laugh, his friendly smile, his warm handshake,
his Christian ftiendship and fellowship and his earnest zeal for
the Lord are all deeply missed by his family, the members of his
congregation, his close fellow laborers and associates in the
ministty both in the Church and beyond its borders and by a wide
circle of friends throughout the community. But our loss is his
gain.
And again we rejoice in the wotds of the Spirit.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth;
yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and
their works do follow them."

Signs Of The Times —
That the days appointed in the U. S. and Canada for thanksgiving
be observed with a religious service. That a day in the
annual Week of Prayer be made a day of repentance and prayer,
and of as much fasting, to concentrate thought on repentance,
as the thanksgiving day was observed with feasting, to concentrate
thought on thankfulness.
Board Of Pensions -
That in view of a need that sometimes arises in certain cases
and at the discretion of the Board that there be a permissible
retirement age of 65 for ministers instead of 70 as at the present.
About Communism —
That studies be made in our congregations of the threat of
Communism through the study of such books as Masters of Deceit
by J. Edgar Hoover, You Can Trust tbe Communists by Dr. Fred
Schwartz, and Tbe Naked Communist by Cleon Skouson, and of
such films as "Operation Abolition", and "Communism on the
Map". That we declare our disapproval of the expressions of the
National Council of Churches which urge the admission of Red
China to the U. N., and which without evidence, cast doubt and
suspicion on such agencies of the United States government as
the House Un-American Activities Committee. That we dedicate
ourselves to proclaim the claims of the Lord Jesus Christ on our
nation, as King of kings and Lord of lords, and that we covenant
to stand by one another in our testimony for this truth.
