Declaration is currently approved by Synod.
2- That Church members be advised to seek counsel of pastor
and session when planning to take any oath to the Constitution.
3. That Synod authorize the Committee to sponsor as a test
case the campaign for election as township supervisor by the
member of the Rose Point Congtegation.
4. That sponsorship of this case include counsel, publicity,
and preparation for taking of the oath of office with the Explanatory
Declaration.
5. That in the municipal election involved, Covenanters be
permitted to vote only for this candidate.
6. That the Committee accept sponsorship of no case involving
an oath to the Constitution without specific permission of
Synod, if such oath involves any elective government office.
7. That Synod define as the Committee's primary function
that of strengthening the individual witness of Covenanters to
the Kingship of Christ, particularly when called upon to take an
oath to the national Constitution.
8. That Synod appoint successors for David M. Carson,
Charles R. McBurney, and J. Ren Patterson whose terms expire
at this Synod, and for John Coleman, who has asked to be relieved
because of his health.

OF DIRECTORS OF THE NATIONAL REFORM ASSOCIATION
Under the directing and providential hand of God, the National
Reform Association completed on October 31, I960, ninetyseven
years of unbroken history in behalf of the Kingship of Jesus
Christ, and the cause of moral reform in our national and governmental
life.
We are now in the eighth month of the ninety-eighth year of
the Association's existence and are facing a national and world
