When editing images, you often need to select their individual parts because then you
can change their color, drag to another location or retouch them. The first tools in the
Toolbox
are used to select the parts of the image or color.
Crop the image
1. Select FileOpen command to open image sinagapore.jpg;
2. Press the keyboard shortcut Shift+C. The mouse pointer turns into ;
3. Left-click the mouse and hold it down while moving the pointer around the part
of the image which will be used for further editing:
4. Press the Enter key on the keyboard. The working window shows an image part:
5. Save the image by the name sing1.png
Copy, flip an image part
1. Select FileOpen command to open image sinag1.jpg;
2. Copy the skyscraper on the right to the left side. Press the Rectangle Select
Tool.
3. Select the skyscraper on the right:
4. Apply EditCopy command;
5. When you apply EditPaste command, the part already copied is placed on top
of the part which you want to copy.
6. Position the mouse pointer on the part that you are about to copy, left-click the
mouse and hold it down while dragging the skyscraper to the left side of the
image:
