Trained tutors provide personal assistance or small-group instruction
in reading and writing, mathematics, grammar, and all related
basic skill areas. They understand that learning takes time and make
an extra effort to be helpful. Tutors are trained to administer practice
tests in GED, the Test of Adult Basic Eduction (TABE), and the ESL
assessment for placement purposes.
After pretesting is completed, information is shared with students regarding
their level, learning needs, educational plan, strengths and
progress. Centers have a comprehensive inventory of video tapes,
cassettes, textbooks, and educational computer software to provide
a variety of approaches to individualized learning. All of the services
are free of charge. Call your nearest learning center for the required
pre-test and new student orientation today! Se habla español.
