Choosing between the two outgoing messages<br />

When the phone is in the standby mode, press greeting. Press greeting again when the<br />

outgoing message is played. Each time greeting is pressed, the outgoing message is<br />

switched between the pre-recorded and the personal outgoing message.<br />

Deleting an outgoing message<br />

To delete the personal outgoing message, press del while the message is playing.<br />

The system announces “Greeting has been deleted”.<br />

• If an outside call is<br />

received during the<br />

oper<strong>at</strong>ion, the<br />

oper<strong>at</strong>ion is canceled.<br />

• If you press<br />

ringer/vol ▲ in the<br />

maximum volume level<br />

(3) or ringer/vol ▼<br />

in the ringer off (0),<br />

you will hear a beep.<br />

Setting the base ringer volume<br />

You have four ringer volume options. One allows you to turn the base ringer off. The<br />

other three are volume levels.<br />

1) When the phone is in the standby mode, press ringer/vol ▲ or ▼. You hear the ringer<br />

<strong>at</strong> the current volume level (“ ” High, “ ” Medium, “ ” Low, or “ ” Off) (if you set<br />

the base ringer volume to off “Ringer Off” is announced), and it appears on the base.<br />

2) Press ringer/vol ▲ or ▼ repe<strong>at</strong>edly until the desired ringer volume appears. You will<br />

hear a ringer <strong>at</strong> the selected volume level. The system returns to the standby mode.<br />

You can also set the base ringer volume or while the phone is ringing, press ringer/vol ▲<br />

or ▼ repe<strong>at</strong>edly to select the desired ringer volume.<br />
