B<strong>at</strong>tery replacement and handling<br />

When the oper<strong>at</strong>ing time becomes short, even after a b<strong>at</strong>tery is recharged, please replace the b<strong>at</strong>tery.<br />

Please use only “AA” rechargeable Ni-MH b<strong>at</strong>teries.<br />

Warning<br />

To avoid the risk of personal injury or property damage from fire or electrical shock, only use the <strong>Uniden</strong><br />

adapter model specifically design<strong>at</strong>ed for this product, and “AA” rechargeable Ni-MH b<strong>at</strong>teries.<br />

Power Failure<br />

During the period th<strong>at</strong> the power is off, you will not be able to make or receive calls with the telephone.<br />

Maintenance<br />

Caution<br />

• Use only “AA” rechargeable Ni-MH b<strong>at</strong>teries.<br />

• Do not remove the b<strong>at</strong>teries from the handset to charge them.<br />

• Never throw the b<strong>at</strong>teries into a fire, disassemble them, or he<strong>at</strong> them.<br />

• Do not remove or damage the b<strong>at</strong>tery casing.<br />

When the handset or base unit becomes slightly dirty<br />

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.<br />

When the handset or base unit becomes very dirty<br />

Wipe with a soft cloth th<strong>at</strong> has been dampened with<br />

diluted, neutral detergent. Dry with a dry cloth.<br />

Caution<br />

Do not use paint thinner, benzene, alcohol,<br />

or other chemical products.<br />

Doing so may discolor the surface of the<br />

telephone and damage the finish.<br />

When the charging contacts become very dirty on both the handset and base unit<br />

Using w<strong>at</strong>er only, dampen a cloth to clean the charging contacts. Then make sure to go back over the<br />

charging contacts with a dry cloth before returning the handset to the base unit to charge.<br />
