<strong>RMIS</strong> Overview<br />
(PDC). During the data entry process, messages and<br />
prompts appear on the <strong>RMIS</strong> screens. <strong>The</strong> messages<br />
include the following:<br />

Records updated and added.<br />
■ Unauthorized user.<br />
■<br />
Error messages.<br />

Procedures.<br />
Hardware<br />
Because <strong>of</strong>fices use different computer equipment,<br />
some commands in this handbook may not apply for<br />
use with a particular type <strong>of</strong> computer equipment.<br />
System Problems<br />
For system problems that can not be resolved locally,<br />
users should telephone the Postal Service IT help<br />
desk at 1-800-877-7435.<br />
Security<br />
Each user in a facility is assigned a logon ID and an<br />
undisplayed password known only to the user. This<br />
logon ID/password serves as both a certification and<br />
a signature that the updates were made to <strong>RMIS</strong> and<br />
if updates are found inaccurate, as an identifier for<br />
corrective action.<br />
Note: Each online data entry screen has a help<br />
screen to assist the user with data entry. To access<br />
online help, press key from any <strong>RMIS</strong> screen.<br />
<strong>The</strong> online help is displayed for the screen/function<br />
that the user is currently in.<br />
