Important Reports
RMIS produces many important management
reports. The following paragraphs identify RMIS
reports that are indispensable for managing
equipment and service and preventing manual
payments. These reports must be reviewed regularly
to ensure correct use of supplier trailers, timely
movement of mail, proper management of detention
costs, and accurate RMIS data entry.
Report LAB130P1, Scheduled Facility Arrival
The purpose of the daily LAB130P1 report is to notify
the destination facility of all rail intermodal units that
are in transit and the planned arrival date. LAB130P1
generates automatically once each day.
Management offices must use LAB130P1 to monitor
in-transit dispatches and ensure each load arrives
at the destination facility as intended and no load
is misrouted or missing. LAB130P1 is also used to
identify inbound volume, to ensure transportation
suppliers deliver within the RMIS transit window to
the destination facility as instructed by the Postal
Service dispatch office, and to easily identify loads
that are more than 24 hours overdue. Offices must
promptly and continuously follow up to locate all
overdue dispatches.
Management offices must also use LAB340P1,
Detention/Van Hold At Other Facility, to bill private
mailers for detention costs incurred by those facilities
dispatching plant-load mail using intermodal rail
service.
