To change the sound level<br />

when using microphone<br />

sensitivity, press either<br />

the Increase or Decrease<br />

button. If not pressed again<br />

within a short time, the<br />

display will revert to the<br />

program display.<br />

When you change the volume level, the total sound signal<br />

changes, that is the level of the accessory and the microphone<br />

signal change together. Generally the volume control level<br />

should be set at 2 or more.<br />

To change the sound level when using an accessory, press<br />

either the Increase or Decrease button for more than one<br />

second. You will hear a tone and/or see a flashing ‘V’ on the<br />

display.<br />

The balance between the amount of sound heard from the<br />

accessory as compared with that heard from the Sound<br />

Processor microphone will be set for each program when the<br />

clinician sets up that program.<br />

If the sound level is unsatisfactory when you are using<br />

an accessory, ask your clinician to change it at your next<br />

programming session. Alternatively your clinician may give you<br />

different sound level options on different programs.<br />
