The frequency response of the simulation is shown in Figure 4.5 below. The natural frequency of<br />

the mode occurs is almost 5 rad/s, which corresponds to the calculated value of 4.83 rad/s. The<br />

case was also run from within CIFER ® for comparison to the <strong>MATLAB</strong> case, the results of which<br />

are also shown in Figure 4.5, where the results overlay precisely. In addition, the CIFER ® results<br />

were compared to the results from using the <strong>MATLAB</strong> ‘bode’ comm<strong>and</strong> on the transfer function<br />

as shown in Figure 4.6. There is a slight difference found at the mode <strong>and</strong> at high frequency,<br />

which correlates to the drop in coherence at those regions.<br />
