The higher velocity used to<br />
make major, coupled with this<br />
bullet's light weight, creates<br />
greater downforce in the comps,<br />
reducing muzzle rise and increasing<br />
cycle time.<br />
Even at major velocity, a<br />
comp gun using the Vic Litem<br />
bullets operates at less than half<br />
the pressure of a .38 Super<br />
(approximately 17,000 CUP).<br />
That means there is no additional<br />
wear and tear on the gun over<br />
the heavier bullets used in .45!<br />
Using LiteTm bullets enables<br />
the shooter to use lighter recoil<br />
springs, increasing cycle time<br />
even further. Once you decide<br />
on a load and a power factor, the<br />
recommended method to determine<br />
correct spring poundage for<br />
your particular grip and gun is<br />
to double-tap a target two or<br />
three times (left, right, middle).<br />
Then, change your spring going<br />
down a pound, and repeat the<br />
double-taps. The double-taps<br />
should be smaller. Repeat the<br />
process until your double-taps<br />
get larger, or until you reach a<br />
9 or 10 lb. spring.<br />
Be careful about how light<br />
you go. Only the Vic comps can<br />
go lower in spring rate without<br />
tearing up your gun. With a Vic<br />
