can do this because Vic's exclusive
comp design prevents the
gun from unlocking under pressure.
Obviously, a 5 lb. recoil
spring does nothing to retard
recoil, the Vic comp does it all!
Most shooters will even use a 5
lb. spring in 10mm with our 170
gr. bullets, although most shooters
are moving to the 150 grain
or lighter. Also, the Battle
Comp in .45 with our 255 gr.
bullet at a 230 power factor will
use a 5 or 6 lb. spring
If you think your gun still
cycles slow, you can speed it up
and dial in less muzzle rise by
shooting the gun with more than
one buffer in it. By adding extra
buffers, you can control the
distance the slide travels, shortening
it. This makes it cycle
even faster. A big plus for a
sluggish .45 is that even with
the Lite TAI 152 gr. bullet it operates
well below max pressure for
the .45 (23,000 CUP-maximum
individual pressure). This is
still only half of the max pressure
of a Super.
Of course, if you use more
than two buffers your slide won't
lock back. Most shooters run 3
to 4 of the Vic Hi-Impact Buffers
(the thickest made), and a long
ejector. Feel free to experiment
and see which combination is
best for you.
Accuracy is the best of any
.45 bullet. Machine rest groups
under 3/4 inch at 50 yards axe
common. Other models use only
a vaz-iation of Vic's mold and
their bullets weigh more. The
other models of bullets just turn
into a pattern at over 40 yards.
Nobody has the computer-aided
design advantage that the Vic
LiteTm bullet enjoys.
