Traders. Honey marketing agents: There are now a number of local entrepreneurs engaged<br />
in the purchase and trading of honey from village producers. They provide immediate<br />
payment to beekeepers for honey, arrange every aspect of honey procurement including<br />
transport, interact with beekeepers. They also ensure payment according to the quality of<br />
honey.<br />

Beekeeping firms, such as “Orzu” beekeeping firm located in Istaravshan. It has 20<br />
beekeepers and 700 bee families and has been established by entrepreneurs and the<br />
manager of a group at the Association of Beekeepers in Istaravshan. This is a private<br />
company whose main goal is commercial activity; it mostly exports bee packs, imports and<br />
sells beekeeping accessories, in addition to actually collecting honey. Private entrepreneurs<br />
are also engaged in commercial activities in the area of beekeeping.<br />
Wholesalers. There are large players in the market, who historically had good connections<br />
and now work on exporting honey and bee products. One of the largest is Potrebsoyuz<br />
organization, as well as some representatives of the beekeepers’ associations.<br />
