3.32 — Baffle Plate RecommendationsBaffle plates can be used to reduce compressor dischargegas pulsations. Recommended baffle plate assembliesare shown below. These plates are designed to createa 6 to 10 psi (0.4 to 0.7 Bars) pressure drop in thedischarge gas. Use only the baffle plate recommended forthe application. These baffle plates, sandwiched betweentwo gaskets, are installed between the compressordischarge service valve and the compressor crankcase orcylinder head.
