<strong>de</strong>signed in 2009 has now been implemented <strong>and</strong> exten<strong>de</strong>d<br />

to inclu<strong>de</strong> middle­management levels in line with our new<br />

succession management policy (see above). Third, <strong>de</strong>velopment<br />

of an international mobility policy, <strong>de</strong>fining conditions<br />

for cross­bor<strong>de</strong>r postings. A transfer <strong>de</strong>sk has been set up.<br />

<strong>Refresco</strong> encourages high performing talents to broa<strong>de</strong>n <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

horizons across business entities. Both short­term assignments<br />

<strong>and</strong> long­term career opportunities are possible within our<br />

group. Fourth, roll­out of group­wi<strong>de</strong> training & <strong>de</strong>velopment<br />

initiatives for higher management. A group training program<br />

was <strong>de</strong>signed by selecting preferred business schools <strong>and</strong><br />

training institutes, each covering different areas of lea<strong>de</strong>rship<br />

<strong>and</strong> management skill <strong>de</strong>velopment. Fifth, <strong>Refresco</strong> lea<strong>de</strong>rship<br />

program. In 2010 <strong>the</strong> competences profile was completed<br />

organization, each expressing how we want<br />

to be known in this business. They have<br />

been translated in clear lea<strong>de</strong>rship behaviors<br />

(competences). Our people are recruited,<br />

rewar<strong>de</strong>d <strong>and</strong> appraised using competences<br />

that form <strong>the</strong> baseline of <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Refresco</strong> values to ensure that <strong>the</strong> <strong>Refresco</strong><br />

<strong>and</strong> rolled out to all business units. After new managers were<br />

trained in behavioral competences, managers across <strong>the</strong> units<br />

engaged in a workshop to <strong>de</strong>fine <strong>Refresco</strong> lea<strong>de</strong>rship behavior.<br />

The <strong>results</strong> of this session supplied key input for <strong>de</strong>veloping<br />

<strong>Refresco</strong> management.<br />

Always looking ahead, we want to have <strong>the</strong> right people with<br />

<strong>the</strong> right talents in our organization, making us less <strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong>nt<br />

on external search <strong>and</strong> recruitment. In 2009 we put internal<br />

human resources as such in <strong>the</strong> focus of our HR policy, in 2010<br />

we implemented <strong>the</strong> policies <strong>and</strong> tools. Going forward, much<br />

will <strong>de</strong>pend on our success at <strong>de</strong>ploying our talent in newly<br />

acquired <strong>and</strong> existing business units.<br />
