He holds a B.A. (Honours)in Economics & Islamic Studies from the University of Malayaand Diploma in Commercial Policy from Geneva. He is a formerpublic servant and his last post in the public service was as theAuditor General of Malaysia (1994-2000). During his 36 yearsof distinguished service in the public sector, among the manyappointments he also held were those of Secretary of the ForeignInvestment Committee, Under-Secretary Finance Division in theMinistry of Finance, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministryof Trade and Industry and Secretary General of the Ministry ofWorks.Datuk Hj Mohd Khalil is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee,a member of the Remuneration Committee and NominatingCommittee of the Company.
