SHT Haustechnik <strong>AG</strong> is Austria’s leading sanitary, heating<br />
and plumbing supplies wholesaler. The company was<br />
incorporated into the <strong>Frauenthal</strong> Group in 2005. In <strong>2010</strong><br />
SHT had an average headcount of 682 in Austria and<br />
recorded revenue of EUR 271 m – a full 3.5 % above the<br />
industry average.<br />
SHT now operates six logistics centres, seven sales outlets,<br />
40 pick-up stores and 12 up-market Bäderparadies<br />
bathroom showrooms. A new integrated service, logistics<br />
and sales centre opened in Innsbruck in July.<br />
1a-Installateur Marketingberatungsges.m.b.H, a wholly<br />
owned subsidiary of SHT, offers sales support for<br />
around 200 member fi rms under the 1a-Installateure (A1<br />
Plumbers) umbrella brand name, which is well known<br />
throughout Austria. It also coordinates advertising campaigns,<br />
trade fairs appearances and training seminars.<br />

SHT distributes the leading sanitary, heating and plumbing<br />
equipment brands in Austria, as well as its own<br />
Prisma (sanitary) and SaniMeister (plumbing) brands.<br />
The exclusive “elements” range (wall-mounted products<br />
exclusively made for SHT by manufacturers of branded<br />
goods) is now well established on the market following<br />
its launch in 2008.<br />
Successful proprietary brands are important for SHT as<br />
they provide the opportunity to differentiate the group<br />
from the competition in terms of its products and its<br />
services. SHT’s suppliers include well-known branded<br />
manufacturers. It gives preference to suppliers with<br />
production facilities in Austria, whose support allows it<br />
to offer outstanding value for money.<br />
