He took him to his house and askedhim for the marks <strong>of</strong> identification <strong>of</strong> his lost necklace. He readily expla<strong>in</strong>ed the shape and color<strong>of</strong> the pouch. He handed over the pouch to the owner and <strong>in</strong> return the old man wanted to givehim the reward money as promised. However the young man refused to take the reward as hesaid that he did not deserve it and has not done anyth<strong>in</strong>g to do to earn this reward. After a whilethe young man got back his job and his days <strong>of</strong> deprivation and hunger were over. He jo<strong>in</strong>ed theclasses <strong>of</strong> knowledge and forgot about the <strong>in</strong>cident. On the recommendation <strong>of</strong> his tutor, hewas <strong>of</strong>fered an appo<strong>in</strong>tment as Qadhi <strong>of</strong> Qurtaba. He accepted the post and started to preparehimself very happily for the long journey. He boarded a merchant ship to carry him to the land<strong>of</strong> his future hopes. The voyage was smooth and enjoyable for couple <strong>of</strong> day and then suddenly aviolent storm <strong>of</strong> severe <strong>in</strong>tensity overtook and the ship was engulfed by stormy waves. A mightywave crushed the ship and wrecked it completely. When he recovered from shock he foundhimself cl<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g to a plan and mov<strong>in</strong>g with it at the mercy <strong>of</strong> the waves and was unconscious.When he ga<strong>in</strong>ed conscious he found himself <strong>in</strong> the middle <strong>of</strong> strangers. They took care <strong>of</strong> himand he started liv<strong>in</strong>g with them after he recovered. One day the Imam was late <strong>in</strong> arriv<strong>in</strong>g at themasjid and the young man was asked to lead people <strong>in</strong> prayer. The young man was <strong>in</strong>sisted totake the position <strong>of</strong> Imam <strong>of</strong> the Masjid. He took the position and new environment and peopleaccepted him as their religious leader. They elders <strong>of</strong> the community asked him if would like tomarry and they married her <strong>of</strong>f to a beautiful girl wear<strong>in</strong>g the same necklace <strong>of</strong> pearls. Upon<strong>in</strong>quiry he was <strong>in</strong>formed <strong>of</strong> the story <strong>of</strong> the pearls necklace and the lady he married was thedaughter <strong>of</strong> same old man who lost is necklace. An emotional storm erupted with<strong>in</strong> him and thestrange happen<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>of</strong> the fateful events which were unfolded by the hidden hands <strong>of</strong> dest<strong>in</strong>yagitated him and drops <strong>of</strong> tears rolled down his cheeks, he looked towards the sheikh throughmisty eyes and said, I am the person who found the necklace and restored it to your friend.Everyone was amazed. This is how Allah rewards people who fear Allah.<strong>Marriage</strong> is an act <strong>of</strong> worship, it is someth<strong>in</strong>g that will br<strong>in</strong>g one closer to Allah and to Jannah, ifyou have righteous kids they will pray for you after you die and if you die s<strong>in</strong>gle who is go<strong>in</strong>g toremember you after you pass away? – It is someth<strong>in</strong>g to br<strong>in</strong>g you to Jannah.Rule # 1 – don’t enter marriage with low self-esteem, the Prophet (SAW) raised the selfesteem<strong>of</strong> Julaibeeb by rais<strong>in</strong>g his self-esteem.Rule # 2 – if you want to talk to your parents about marriage use Allah and the Prophet (SAW)and rem<strong>in</strong>d them <strong>of</strong> the hereafter.
