Summary of Rhode Island Waste Pesticide Disposal ProgramRhode Island does not have a program to collect and dispose of unwanted agricultural pesticides.There is an on-going household hazardous waste collection program. However, farmers and otherbusinesses are prohibited from participating in the HHW program by state regulations.Rhode Island has plans for 1999/2000 to develop and distribute a survey to growers to determinethe amount of unwanted agricultural pesticides that require disposal.
