State officialsrevised their strategy and began to provide acollection opportunity in every county at least onceevery other year. In 1997, the Minnesota Departmentof Agriculture formed a partnership withseveral regional household hazardous wasteprograms to establish several year-round pesticidedrop-off locations. These sites accept pesticidesfrom individuals or businesses which need timelydisposal in an emergency situation. Collectedpesticides are kept at storage facilities until ahazardous waste contractor collects them.22
